1. Format: Individual Medal Competition. Played in 3s. 95% Handicap Allowance.
2. Eligibility: For boys and girls under the age of 18 on the 1st January 2025. Players must have a handicap index of 25.3 or less for boys / 31.4 or less for girls on the date of the competition. If the minimum entry requirement for the field is not met at the closing date, BMGC members will be considered.
3. Starting times: Unless otherwise stipulated, tee times will commence at 09:00am. Starting times and associated player information will be circulated via e-mail in advance of the competition date and will be available from the 15th August. If you prefer to receive your starting times by post, please provide a stamped address envelope.
4. Entries: Entry into the Junior Open can be made ONLINE, or by completing the enclosed entry form and returning to ‘Opens Co-ordinator, Brokenhurst, Manor Golf Club, Sway Road, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, SO42 7SG’. The entry fee for this event is £35 (includes competition entry and lunch after play). On receipt of your paper entry, we will contact you to take payment over the phone (not applicable for online entries). We no longer accept cheque payments. Entries are on a strictly first come, first served basis.
5. Parental consent: Please ensure that your entry form is returned with the required parental consent form. We are unable to accept any entry that does not have this form accompanied.
6. Closing Date: 5th August.
7. Cancellations: We regret that no refunds will be given if a cancellation is made after 12th August.
8. Local rules: Applicable local rules are as printed on the scorecard provided on the day. Any additions or changes to these local rules will be notified to you on the day of the competition.
9. Results/prize presentation: The results/prize presentation will be presented as soon after the last card has been returned. In the event of a tie, a decision will be made on count-back.
10. Committee: This competition is organised by the Competition Committee of Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club who will rule on any disputes that may arise and their decision shall be final.
