Spring Open - Bowmaker Stableford Rules

1. Format: 4 Ball Bowmaker Stableford (Best 2 scores from 4). 

2. Eligibility: Competitors must have a handicap index of Men: 22.5 or less, Women: 26.3 or less (higher handicaps may enter but must play off a handicap index of 22.5 (Men), 26.3 (Women)). 85 % handicap allowance. If the minimum entry requirement for the field is not met at the closing date, BMGC members will be considered.

3. Starting times: First tee time will be 09:00. Starting times and associated player information will be circulated in advance of the competition date via email. 

4. Entries: Entry into the Spring Open can be made online or by completing the enclosed entry form and returning to ‘Opens co-ordinator’ at admin@brokenhurst-manor.org.uk or to the Club Office at Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club, Sway Road, Brockenhurst, Hampshire. SO42 7SG. Entry fee is £220 per team (includes competition entry, prizes and Coffee & Bacon Roll on arrival). The full bar menu will be available to players after play at players’ own cost. Entries are accepted strictly on a ‘First com first served basis’. 

5. Closing date for entry: 6th April 2026

6. Cancellations: We regret to advise that no refunds will be given if a cancellation is made after the closing date of the 6th April 2026. 

7. Local Rules: applicable local rules are as printed on the scorecard provided on the day. Any additions or changes to these rules will be notified to you on the day of the competition.

8. Prizes/Results: To avoid the wait between early and late starting groups, there will be no prize presentation on the day. Full results will be emailed and communicated on the “Opens” page of the club website. Prize winners will have their prize vouchers posted to their home club.

9. Committee: The competition is organised by the Competition Committee of Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club who will rule on any dispute that may arise. Their decision shall be final.

10. Personal buggies: Are permitted but must be pre-authorised by the Club Office. Please contact admin@brokenhurst-manor.org.uk for further information. The Club reserves the right to deny the use of a personal buggy if prior authorisation has not been obtained.
