Men's Senior Open - Individual Stableford (95%) Rules

1. Format: Individual Stableford Competition. Three tee start, played in 3s off the yellow tees. 

2. Eligibility: Competitors must have reached the age of 60 by the date of the competition and must have a handicap index of 22.5 or less (higher handicaps may enter but must play off a handicap index of 22.5). 95% handicap allowance. If the minimum entry requirement for the field is not met at the closing date, BMGC members will be considered.

3. Starting times: Three tee start from 09:30. Starting times and associated player information will be circulated in advance of the competition date via email. 

4. Entries: Entry into the men’s senior open can be made online or by completing the enclosed entry form and returning to ‘Opens co-ordinator’ at admin@brokenhurst-manor.org.uk or to the Club Office at Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club, Sway Road, Brockenhurst, Hampshire. SO42 7SG. Entry fee is £70 per person (includes competition entry, prizes, Coffee & Bacon Roll on arrival and a meal after play). Entries are accepted strictly on a ‘First com first served basis’. 

5. Closing date for entry: 31st May 2025.

6. Cancellations: We regret to advise that no refunds will be given if a cancellation is made after the closing date of the 31st May 2025.

7. Local Rules: applicable local rules are as printed on the scorecard provided on the day. Any additions or changes to these rules will be notified to you on the day of the competition.

8. Prizes/Results: the results/prize presentation will be presented as soon after the last card has been returned. In the event of a tie, a decision will be made on countback.

9. Committee: The competition is organised by the Competition Committee of Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club who will rule on any dispute that may arise. Their decision shall be final.

10. Distance measuring devices are permitted on the course.

11. Personal buggies: Are permitted but must be pre-authorised by the Club Office. Please contact admin@brokenhurst-manor.org.uk for further information. The Club reserves the right to deny the use of a personal buggy if prior authorisation has not been obtained.
